Teriana Mahomes, a 12-year-old African American girl from Long Beach, California, was found safe after being abducted by her mother’s boyfriend.
An Ebony Alert and Amber Alert were issued when she went missing. Teriana was last seen on July 3 in Long Beach and authorities named her mother’s boyfriend, Clark Thomas Wheeler, as the suspect.
Her mother, Theresa Mahomes, expressed concern and frustration over Teriana’s abduction. The LAPD issued an Ebony Alert and the California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert to help locate her.
Teriana was found on Sunday, but details of her recovery have not been disclosed.
