Prominent activist Dr. Umar Johnson has spoken out against the recent focus on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal troubles, calling it a deliberate distraction from crucial political issues ahead of the 2024 election.
“They gave you Puff Daddy during election season for a reason,” Dr. Johnson stated. “This is a distraction… They know Black people love to see Black people disgraced, humiliated, and destroyed.”
Dr. Johnson noted that similar parties held by Hugh Hefner went unscrutinized. “Hugh Hefner had a living freak show at the Playboy mansion… nobody said a word.”
He believes the media frenzy surrounding Diddy is meant to shift attention away from demanding political accountability from figures like Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.
“Sean Combs is a distraction,” Dr. Johnson emphasized. “You have been outsmarted, outmaneuvered, and outstrategized by the white power structure once again.”
Dr. Johnson urges the Black community to stay focused on the bigger picture and push for justice.
“Ask yourself, what are they trying to distract African people away from?” he said.
