Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyers have launched a stunning attack on the federal government, accusing them of orchestrating the leak of a shocking video showing the music mogul beating his ex-girlfriend Cassie.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Diddy’s legal team claims the Department of Homeland Security is responsible for releasing the footage to CNN.

The disturbing video, filmed in a Los Angeles hotel hallway, captures Diddy brutally assaulting Cassie during their relationship.
Diddy’s attorneys assert the federal government’s actions constitute misconduct in his ongoing criminal case.
They demand an evidentiary hearing to address the alleged leak and seek relief from the court.
In the documents, Diddy’s lawyers also slam the feds for their “overly brutal” raids on his Los Angeles and Miami homes.
The music mogul alleges federal agents handcuffed his children during the searches.
“This latest development highlights the government’s willingness to engage in questionable tactics to discredit Mr. Combs,” a source close to the case said.
Diddy’s legal team argues the leaked video prejudices his right to a fair trial.
The Department of Homeland Security has yet to comment on the allegations.
