Rap legend Busta Rhymes is calling for calm amid the swirling controversy surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs. At the “Venom: The Last Dance” premiere, Busta told Extra that people should reserve judgment.
“Let the truth surface,” Busta urged, expressing concern over the rush to judgment on social media. “Everybody’s throwing their two cents in…it’s a lot of thirst on my timeline.”
Busta emphasized his support for prosecution if allegations prove true but cautioned against conviction in the court of public opinion. “If something’s wrong, then address it, but let’s not jump to conclusions.”
Busta’s stance echoes Method Man’s sentiments, criticizing the linkage of Diddy’s allegations to hip-hop conversations.
As a long-time friend and collaborator, Busta’s defense isn’t surprising. Other notable figures have also shown support for Diddy this week.
