Jonathan Majors consents to alleged victim's protection order.

On April 27, the alleged victim was granted a full temporary order of protection by the judge, to which Jonathan Majors’ attorney has recently shared their reaction. According to Doug Cohen, the press secretary for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, defense counsel consented to the order being granted, as per the publication’s request. At the time of prosecution, a limited temporary order of protection was already granted, as reported by the outlet PEOPLE.

The NYPD defines a “limited order of protection” as one that permits the subject to maintain contact but prohibits any abusive, harassing or threatening behavior. In response to the granting of a temporary order of protection for the alleged victim, Jonathan Majors’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry stated that this was a standard practice in such cases, and that her client wished to have no contact with the woman who assaulted him.

Chaudhry also stated that they had been fully cooperative with the District Attorney’s office and had provided ample evidence of Majors’ innocence, including witness statements and a forensic medical opinion from a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Doctor and Trauma Specialist who concluded that the woman did not sustain any injuries from Majors at the nightclub.

Despite this evidence, Chaudhry expressed concern that the District Attorney was pursuing a false case against her client. The order prohibits Majors from having any contact with the alleged victim until at least the next court hearing on May 9.
