Kanye West and Donda Academy administrators in trouble

A lawsuit for alleged racial discrimination and wrongful termination has been filed against Kanye West and administrators at his Donda Academy school.

Cecilia Hailey and Chekarey Byers, two former employees of Donda Academy, have sued the institution and its owner on the grounds that they were fired unfairly.

Hailey and Byers claimed in the documents that they were fired from the school two months after being hired as a result of reporting code violations.

They reportedly voiced worries about unethical and unsafe practices, including that Donda Academy was not adhering to state regulations for students who required educational services, additional testing, or individualized learning plans, and that the school lacked janitorial services, a nurse, security measures, and a proper disciplinary system, leading to instances of bullying and physical assault.

In addition, they alleged that despite only receiving one meal per day, which was sushi, kids were not allowed to go outside during the school day and were not allowed to bring in outside food.

Hailey claimed that she voiced her concerns to Moira Love, the principal of Donda Academy, on three separate occasions, but that each time she was simply told that she was being aggressive for doing so. Additionally, she claimed she had been threatened not to reach out to West.

Chekarey Byers and Cecilia Hailey are suing in an effort to recover damages for alleged unpaid wages, lost wages, and other employment benefits.
