Singer Adele has revealed she’s been left partially deaf in one ear for the past eight weeks.
The 36-year-old Hello singer contracted the infection during her Munich residency in August. Adele described the pain as “worse than childbirth.”
“I have an ear infection, which is pretty grim,” Adele told her audience. “It’s the most painful thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Adele initially received the wrong antibiotics, exacerbating the issue. “I wanted to chop my ear off a few times,” she admitted.
Thankfully, Adele’s now on effective medication and pain-free, though still experiencing partial deafness in her left ear. “I’m no longer in pain, which is great, but I’m a bit deaf,” she said.
Adele’s health scare hasn’t dampened her spirits, as she’s focusing on her upcoming projects and personal life, including her engagement to sports agent Rich Paul.
