‘Boy Meets World’ Star Danielle Fishel Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Actress Danielle Fishel, beloved for her role in “Boy Meets World,” has courageously shared her breast cancer diagnosis, emphasizing the importance of early detection.

On her podcast “Pod Meets World,” Fishel revealed, “I was recently diagnosed with DCIS, which stands for ductal carcinoma in situ, a form of breast cancer.” She assured listeners, “I’m going to be fine” after undergoing surgery.

Fishel’s cancer was caught at stage zero, thanks to her timely mammogram appointment. She stressed, “The only reason I caught this cancer when it is still stage zero is because the day I got my text message that my yearly mammogram had come up, I made the appointment.”

Fishel initially hesitated to share her diagnosis but decided to speak out to encourage others to prioritize their health. She urged, “Make the time to get in for your mammogram, no matter how busy you are.”

The actress is grateful for her supportive family, including her husband, Jensen Karp, and their two children, ages 5 and 3. Fishel’s treatment plan is still being determined, but she remains optimistic.
