Lil Tay seen for first time in years after death hoax.
Rapper Lil Tay made her first public outing in five years on Wednesday at LAX after being falsely declared dead a month ago.
Security guards led the 14-year-old internet sensation through a crowd of interested photographers while she, her mother, Angela Tian, and brother Jason Tian were also in tow. They were all wearing black hoodies, sunglasses, and face masks.
Jason’s death was falsely reported to have also occurred just one month prior on Tay’s Instagram account.
Tay didn’t say anything throughout this rare public sighting. She hid her hands behind her hoodie’s sleeves, making it difficult to tell if the mysterious photo from Tuesday that appeared on her Instagram Story and showed a person holding a US passport had long, black fingernails was actually of her.

The father of Tay, Christopher J. Hope, has been accused of abuse. On August 13th, Meta apparently told TMZ that Lil Tay’s account had really been hacked.
Unexpectedly, Tay’s previously removed obituary resurfaced on her Instagram feed this week on Tuesday and is still there as early Wednesday night.
