Johnny Depp reveals what makes him happy in life.
In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, Johnny Depp discussed his current interests and the aspects that provide him with a sense of balance in his everyday life.
While strongly embracing Dior’s current Sauvage campaign, Depp lovingly spoke of his strong affection for the Bahamas, a location that bears a unique significance in his heart, acting as his own secret haven. Depp elaborated on this sentiment by saying,
“You’ve got to have some sanctuary, a safe place where you can escape the scrutiny and the interest of others, a place where you can just sit on a beach, read, paint, meditate, or whatever, that’s freedom to me.
That’s the only real freedom.”

He also commented on the energizing and revitalizing sense of immersing oneself in the ocean, expressing how it clears his mind.
Despite his significant Hollywood career and a track record of high-profile partnerships, Depp stressed the importance of adopting simplicity in his life.
“Everyone is going to be affected by the passing of time, but I understand that in terms of the idea behind it, which is to say that I’ve always felt better in myself by sticking to my guns about choices that I’ve made.”
Hollywood, in Johnny Depp’s opinion, is a brutally competitive arena. The actor expressed his displeasure with the industry’s obsession with accolades, financial gains, and rankings.
“I’ve never felt the need to be competitive with anyone. I hate the idea. It’s about who wins what, who gets what, who’s better and who’s worse, and who makes more, and all that… I don’t care about any of that stuff.”
