Danny Masterson, an actor from That ’70s Show, was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for two decades’ worth of rapes.
Actor Danny Masterson, 47, was recently given a 30-to-life jail sentence by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo.
The judge reached this conclusion after hearing statements from two women who spoke up about the terrifying events they went through and the lingering sorrow brought on by the haunting recollections from more than two decades ago.
Prosecutors requested a retrial for all three accusations earlier this year after a December mistrial on three rape counts due to an imprecise jury verdict.

A jury of seven women and five men found Masterson guilty on two charges on May 31, following seven days of deliberation. Both instances happened in 2003, at the height of Masterson’s celebrity from the Fox network show, at his home in Hollywood.
On the third count, which involved a rape accusation against a long-term partner, they were unable to agree. 8 people voted in favor of conviction, with 4 against.
After rejecting a defense plea for a new trial that had been made earlier that day, the judge imposed the punishment.
The defense suggested a sentence of 15 years to life and argued for concurrent terms for the two convictions. On the other hand, the prosecution asked for the longest possible punishment for Masterson, which was 30 years to life.
