Since the controversial termination of her 13-year-long conservatorship in November 2021, the singer has been unable to see her sons, Sean Preston (17) and Jayden James (16), for over a year. Previously, she used to provide the father-of-six with a monthly child support payment of $20,000, but that amount was later increased in May 2018.
However, followers of the popular singer known for the hit song “Baby One More Time” now suspect that her former spouse has intentions to relocate their two sons to Hawaii, possibly due to the state’s extensive child support laws.
In Hawaii, child support can be mandated for children up to the age of 23, provided they are enrolled in full-time education or pursuing vocational or trade school.
